Anti-bias work is an investment in our learners.

Anti-Bias

Anti-bias education is a framework to guide inclusive conversations, examine our classrooms, and uplift each learner and their many identities.

Anti-bias teachers are committed to the principle that every learner deserves to develop to their fullest potential. Teachers examine and transform their understanding of the learner’s lived experiences and are committed to self-reflection.

Anti-racism is a
life-long journey.

Anti-Racism

“Anti-racism is a life-long journey dismantling individual, structural and institutional racism that includes forming new understandings of and ways to live Anti-racism is committed to de-center whiteness, making a commitment to equitably sharing power and resources.

Anti-racism is good business. The end of systemic and individual racism will humanize and liberate everyone.”

–   Louis Derman Sparks

Montessori is a learner-centered pedagogy and framework.

Montessori

Montessori is a learner-centered pedagogy and methodical framework focused on empowering learners to develop to their fullest potential.

It is a view of the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment.

It is an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, cognitive.

“As educators, it’s our job to stand in the intersections of our identities with humility and reflexivity, lay down our defenses, listen to one another, believe one another, lock arms, and move forward, together.”
